Machining Program Manager - Syracuse, NY

Responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of production personnel to meet production timetables Responsible for overseeing tooling, fixture, and gauge design and engineering drawing mark ups per job launch plans, confirms that job launch program action items are accomplished on time, and confirms process capabilities by conducting feasibility studies etc. 
•    Ownership of assigned programs through to completion or maturity
•    Participate in customer design review and quotations using designated software 
•    Assess internal capacity and coordinate job launch with selected program team
•    Develop and maintain bills of material for all new jobs
•    Develop and maintain methods and process control documentation
•    Train team members in methods and processes
•    Confirm that job launch program team action items are accomplished
•    Oversee tooling, fixture and gauge design and engineering drawing mark-ups per job launch plans
•    Oversee first sample shipment and follow-up with customer for approval
•    Continuously monitor programs to assure quality, productivity and delivery requirements are met
•    Investigate and resolve problems whenever an assigned program is off track

Salary is $58K+ per hour DOE.  A solid benefits package is offered.  Direct placement opportunity.

•    Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or technology (PE desirable)
•    5+ years experience as a mechanical engineer
•    Experience working with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
•    Experience with mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, LabView)
•    Superior computer skills: well-versed in Microsoft Office (particularly strong with Excel) &  ProEngineer / Creo / Solidworks
•    Extensive knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
•    Able to create 2-D or 3-D designs to run simulations, analysis and tests
